High-temperature shutdown faults in Ingersoll Rand air compressors are mainly caused by the following aspects:

The following aspects apply to Ingersoll Rand water-cooled air compressors.

First, check whether the cooling water valve is open.

1. Clogged precision filter, causing poor cooling water circulation and preventing the heat from being carried away, leading to high temperatures in the air compressor.

2. Damaged valve core of the temperature control proportional valve (thermostatic valve), causing the oil in the pipeline to bypass the cooler, resulting in excessively high oil and gas temperatures.

3. Insufficient oil, either due to inadequate refilling during oil changes or oil leakage from the machine.

4. Near the end of the maintenance period, a clogged oil filter causes poor oil circulation, leading to excessively high oil and gas temperatures.

5. Damaged compressor head bearings or friction within the compressor head can also cause excessively high oil and gas temperatures.

6. Faulty temperature sensor, resulting in inaccurate temperature detection.

7. Ambient temperature can also affect the oil and gas temperature of the air compressor (the normal oil and gas temperature for an air compressor is generally between 75°C and 95°C).
